But we will talk about different aspects throughout the story.<\/p><p>Since pre-Hispanic times, this stone has played an important role, as it was part of different worship <b><i>was part of different cults of adoration <\/i><\/b>worships performed by the indigenous people that inhabited this region. The parish priest of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.municipiodeguatape.gov.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">town of Guatap\u00e9<\/a> (<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Alfonso Montoya) in the middle of mass launched a challenge with the expression &#8220;toads do not climb stones&#8221;. This caused several men to take this challenge personally and among them were <\/span><b style=\"font-style: inherit;\"><br \/><i>Ram\u00f3n D\u00edaz, Pedro Nel <strong><em>Ram\u00edrez <\/em><\/strong><\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">and the most famous of all <\/span><b style=\"font-style: inherit;\"><i>Luis Eduardo Villegas<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">. These men climbed this fabulous rock in 5 days, their feat ended on July 16, 1954, and was recorded as one of the most important historical events of the rock.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">The feat of <\/span><b><i>Don Luis Villegas <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">inspired the construction of the first stairs, which were made of wood, today there are 740 and of concrete, this facilitated the ascent to the stone and gave greater security.
